The Wasatch is a combination magazine carrier and ballistic rifle plate carrier able to accommate SAPI plates or other 10”x12” rifle plates.
The Wasatch holds 12 M-4/M-16 magazine, and will also hold 12 M-14/FAL/G3 magazines, too. In addition, there are pockets for a single smoke grenade and MBITR, Saber or similar radio.
The rear plate pocket can accommodate a hydration unit if no rear plate is carried.
The Wasatch was designed to be worn over body armor, so it wears “large” if worn without it, meaning the user might “lose” the two end pockets where the front of the rig wraps around the user’s body. To accommodate this, HSG developed the Weesatch, a smaller version of the Wasatch.
