Manufactured exclusively for Practical Tactical by High Speed Gear, the MESA (MOLLE Enhanced South African) Assault Vest is a modernized version of the battle-tested South African P-83 vest.

The MESA is equipped with PALS webbing, making it capable of utilizing any MOLLE-compatible pouch.

The Practical Tactical MESA has the basic design that made the P-83 so popular, however incorporates many new additions making it more functional and user friendly:

• Lightly padded shoulders, back panel and waist protects you from your gear.
• Open design allows full-range of motion.
• The PALS-covered external hydration pocket for a hydration bladder means your water is not on the inside of the vest, pressing against your back. The padded back panel also helps insulate the water from your body heat.
• A flap on the hydration pocket protects your hydration unit from external hazards.
• Full-length storage pockets within the side panels for maps or other items. No noisy Velcro®, bulky zippers or uncertain snaps for closure. Can fit a Government-sized 45 handgun.
• Internal accessory pockets for pens, flashlights, etc., can also be used for a field-expedient holster, and will accommodate a Government-sized .45 pistol.
• Delrin® “D” rings for attaching small items, like Krill lamps, chem. lights, etc.
• Delrin® rings for attaching a pistol belt (straps sold separately).
• One-inch webbing straps, three in front, one on each shoulder and three on each side allow for vertical and horizontal adjustment to fit nearly any size.
• Vest’s body is made of tactical-grade mesh for breathability, not solid Cordura® like some vests.
• Tactical grade elastic securely holds your hydration tube.

   

Front panels on MultiCam vest are the same as the Khaki vest...webbing and mesh is Khaki/Tan. Belt Straps for MultiCam are the same Khaki webbing color as for the Khaki vest. Also, at this time, no matching straps for ACU, but OD is available.
