This plate is designed to achieve either NIJ Level III or NIJ Level IV protection when worn in conjunction with an NIJ certified Level IIIA Vest.This plate can NOT be used as a Level III stand-alone plate. It must be used with a Level IIIA vest to achieve the NIJ ratings.

With a maximum weight of 2.8 kg, it will, in conjunction with a Level IIIA Vest, defeat the following threats:

• 7.62 × 54 mm lead core ball ammunition,
  Dragunov Sniper Rifle at 50 m
• 7.62 × 51 mm NATO ball at 10 m
• 7.62 × 51 mm Indian ball ammunition at 10 m
• 7.62 × 39 mm ball ammunition, AK-47/AK-56 at 10 m
• 7.62 × 39 mm mild steel core at 10 m
• 7.62 × 63 mm AP at 10 m
• 5.56 × 45 mm SS109/M855 at 10 m
• 5.56 × 45 mm M193 ball at 10 m
• 5.45 × 39 mm Russian ball at 10 m
• 12 gauge slug

Made in Canada of Aramid Fiber Bonded AL98 (Aluminum Oxide 98%), 10x12" triple-curve plate with nylon cover, 8mm thick.
